Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra is delighted to unveil the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Mr. Charles-Henri Chevet, the Area General Manager of Phokeethra Hotels, and Ms. Miwako Fujiwara, the esteemed Founder & Director of Musica Felice Choir.
This momentous agreement signifies the collaboration for the highly anticipated 12th Bi-Annual Charity Concert, slated to grace the elegance of the Grand Ballroom of Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra on May 12th from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Under the evocative theme of Europe Day, this year's concert promises to be an enchanting celebration of cultural richness and philanthropic endeavours. Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra, in proud association with Musica Felice Choir, is thrilled to showcase the diverse musical heritage of various European Union countries through a captivating blend of classical, folk, and pop music.
“We are extremely proud to partner with Musica Felice and co-host their charity concert again,” says Mr. Chevet, Area General Manager of Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.
“It's exciting to be part of an event that has helped so many people across Cambodia. With more and more people attending each concert and donating, we know that Musica Felice can expand the reach of their good work in our community.”

Previous concerts had more than 800 people in attendance. Ms. Fujiwara says this concert will have something entertaining for music lovers of all ages.
“We have the talented Khmer musicians in our choir who will be infusing a bit of Cambodian flare into some of these well-known European songs,” Ms. Fujiwara says.
“I have carefully chosen all the music we are performing. It will be a fun event as we celebrate Europe Day with Europe's rich musical history. We also have some special guests and a few magical surprises for the audience, too.”
Musica Felice's Charity Concerts have long been a beacon of hope for the local community. Proceeds from ticket donations are channelled to support noble causes. This year, the concert aims to extend a helping hand to two esteemed organisations making a profound impact in Cambodia.
Donations from the charity concert will go to Krousar Thmey and Mercy Village Church. Both of these organizations give vulnerable girls and boys in Cambodia the opportunity to get an education and job skills, get support for some of their basic needs, and explore their love of the arts.
Musica Felice's concerts have donated more than $105,000 to local charities and non-profit organisations across Cambodia. This concert's volunteer choir has 37 members who represent 20 different nationalities.
