Oktoberfest 2025 in Phnom Penh: The great festival of beer and friendship is getting ready

Phnom Penh is set to vibrate to the rhythms and flavours of Bavaria as Oktoberfest 2025 is held on 24 and 25 October at the Connexion Community Mall on Koh Pich island. A press conference was held yesterday on the terrace of the Chew & Bash restaurant on Koh Pich, attended by some thirty local journalists, to unveil the concept of the 2025 edition of the famous event.

La grande fête de la bière et de l’amitié

Organised by the German Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (GBC) in partnership with EuroCham, this cultural and gastronomic event promises to be the Kingdom's biggest international festival this year, celebrating both the friendship between Germany and Cambodia and the wealth of commercial and cultural exchanges.

At a press conference held at the Chew and Bash restaurant in Koh Pich, GBC President Tassilo Brinzer expressed his enthusiasm for this second, modernised edition: "

"Despite a somewhat complicated period, we are determined to organise what is the biggest international cultural event in the Kingdom. It's a gastronomic festival, a beer festival, but also a symbol of the friendship between Germany and Cambodia. After the first edition in 2024, which attracted more than 800 visitors, we hope that this edition will be even more successful."

Hanuman Beer in the spotlight and key partners

A major sponsor of the event, Hanuman Beer, the iconic Cambodian brand born of German brewing expertise, will be in the spotlight with a wide range of refreshing craft beers. This young, fast-growing company, with exports to Asia and ambitions across the Atlantic, is the perfect embodiment of the link between German know-how and Cambodian dynamism. Visitors will have the opportunity to discover or rediscover its creations throughout the evening.

In addition to Hanuman, a number of renowned partners are supporting the event, including DHL, Rhenus, Würth, and the BMW Motorrad Club Cambodia, which is helping to reinforce the festival's convivial and adventurous dimension. The German Ambassador to Cambodia, H.E. Stefan Messerer, will officially open the festival on Friday 24 October at 7pm.

A festive and gourmet programme

The festival opens at 6pm and will continue late into the night on both days, with a packed programme of entertainment. To the sound of the famous Bavarian group Ozapft, a German-Austrian sextet already emblematic of the Oktoberfests in Bangkok, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh, guests will be able to enjoy an authentic and festive musical atmosphere.

The food will be generous and varied, with an all-you-can-eat BBQ buffet from Hops Restaurants, Mediterranean, Mexican (tacos) and German specialities, not forgetting vegetarian options to suit all tastes. Hanuman beers will be flowing, along with soft drinks, and every participant will leave with a commemorative 2025 mug, an exclusive souvenir of this unique occasion.

A large prize draw box and games will spice up the evenings, with dedicated prizes for the lucky ones. Finally, to prolong the party, an after-party is planned at the Chew & Bash Club, located close to the main venue and accessible free of charge to ticket holders.
