Health & Cambodia: Global Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week

In Cambodia, France is supporting the innovative ‘I am R’ project, which uses technologies including artificial intelligence to improve antibiotic prescribing.

 

The aim of this project is to optimise medical prescriptions using a mobile prescription support application that uses AI models to predict bacterial resistance based on local data, and to train healthcare professionals in the correct use of antibiotics.

Conducted in partnership with the CDC at ក្រសួងសុខាភិបាលនៃព្រះរាជាណាចក្រកម្ពុជា, the University of Health Sciences, SESSTIM (Aix-Marseille University, Institut de recherche pour le développement (IRD), Inserm) and the Cambodia Academy of Digital Technology - CADT, it embodies an ambitious Franco-Cambodian collaboration to meet a global challenge, with the emphasis on technological innovation, training and research.
