This year, the spotlight shines with special brilliance on Cambodia, the honored guest nation whose culinary heritage and cultural grandeur take center stage in a festival that transcends simple food celebration — orchestrating instead a symphony of cultural diplomacy, tradition, and unity through the shared joy of gastronomy.

A Gathering of Global Gastronomy

The Village International de la Gastronomie, a hallmark event that has grown steadily since its inception in 2016, serves as a “village” — a metaphorical and literal place where families, friends, and global citizens converge. It is a place where memories linger on the aromas of childhood recipes, where the art of cooking becomes an intergenerational conversation, and where the tapestry of human connection is woven through food.

Throughout four dazzling days, the festival offers an unparalleled immersion into the culinary arts of more than fifty countries, presented through exquisitely curated pavilions, live cooking demonstrations, cultural performances, and artisanal markets. Each exhibit is a gateway to the soul of its nation, blending the vibrancy of local produce, ancestral techniques, and innovative craftsmanship.

Among these global treasures, Cambodia emerges humbly yet powerfully, inviting guests on a sensory journey fueled by a millennium of Khmer civilization.

Cambodia: Ambassador of Timeless Tradition and Culinary Excellence

Selected as the guest of honor for the 2025 edition, Cambodia’s extraordinary presence is a testament not only to its rich and refined culinary traditions but to its cultural renaissance on the world stage. The participation epitomizes a milestone ahead of Cambodia hosting the 2026 Francophonie Summit in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, weaving diplomacy and gastronomy into a seamless narrative.

The Cambodian pavilion — a vibrant mosaic of the nation’s exquisite flavors, heritage, and artistry — is orchestrated with precision and passion by the association YUVACHUN in collaboration with the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in France and the prestigious École d’Hôtellerie et de Tourisme Paul Dubrule. YUVACHUN’s mission is clear: to amplify the voice of Khmer culture, nourish pride among young Cambodians worldwide, and foster an authentic, dynamic representation of Cambodia’s unique culinary and cultural identity.
