In an exceptional tribute to khmer culture, the prestigious Salon de l’Artisanat et des Métiers d’Art, which will be held from November 28 to 30, 2025 at the Pavillon Baltard in Nogent-sur-Marne, will welcome the illustrious Cambodian artist Nou Sary.

This invitation, relayed by the Ambassade du Cambodge en France, marks a major milestone in the international career of this emblematic artist, whose work intensely celebrates la mémoire et l’identité khmères.

A Journey of Exceptional Creative Resilience

Born in 1971 in the province of Kandal, Nou Sary embodies a story of resilience and deep creativity. Orphaned during the terrible years of the régime des Khmers rouges, he persevered in his artistic quest, training at the Université Royale des Beaux-Arts de Phnom Penh before perfecting his skills at the École des Beaux-Arts de Saint-Étienne en France.

This unique trajectory is at the heart of his vibrant creations, where daily life, nature, and Khmer traditions intertwine, carried by universal themes of humanity and spirituality.

A Rich and Immersive Exhibition

The exhibition will present a selection of his major works, including the famous paintings

Le Marché aux Poissons and Nature et Religion, accompanied by previously unseen works created especially for this event.

Visitors will thus be invited to dive into an artistic universe of striking richness, where the beauty of artisanal gestures meets the strength of a deeply rooted cultural heritage.

Accompanied by representatives of the Epidemick Gallery France, Nou Sary will be present throughout the Salon, offering a rare opportunity for direct exchanges with an artist whose work was awarded the bronze medal by the Société des Artistes Français in 2005, as well as many international recognitions.
