CAMFOOD CAMHOTEL 2025: When Gastronomic Innovation Meets Hotel Excellence

From October 22 to 24, the Diamond Island Exhibition and Convention Centre (DIECC) in Phnom Penh pulsed with creativity, flavor, and professional expertise during CAMFOOD CAMHOTEL 2025 — Cambodia’s largest trade fair dedicated to hospitality and food service.

Bringing together more than 250 local and international exhibitors and nearly 6,000 professional visitors, the event established itself as the leading forum for key players in Cambodia’s hotel, restaurant, and catering industries. Inaugurated by Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak, the fair also welcomed Oknha Lim Socheat, Vice-President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, and Gerard Leeuwenburgh, General Manager of Informa Markets for Malaysia and Cambodia.

Inspiring Words at the Opening
In his opening address, Minister Huot Hak reminded attendees of the sector’s vital importance to the national economy:
“Tourism is one of the most dynamic pillars of Cambodia’s economy, and its strength lies in the skills, services, and innovation of our hospitality and culinary industries. CAMFOOD & CAMHOTEL remains a vital platform to showcase our capabilities, attract investment, and inspire excellence in line with our vision for sustainable tourism.”
For his part, Gerard Leeuwenburgh emphasized the strategic role of the event:
“CAMFOOD & CAMHOTEL is far more than an exhibition: it is a catalyst for growth, cultural exchange, and professional excellence. Thanks to strong government support, this platform connects Cambodia’s culinary traditions with the global market and supports the country’s journey toward becoming a major ASEAN tourism and hospitality hub.”
Finally, Oknha Lim Socheat, representing the private sector, highlighted the vitality of local businesses:
“This event showcases the strength and potential of Cambodian enterprises while creating opportunities for international collaboration. It illustrates the Kingdom’s readiness to compete on regional and global stages in the areas of food service, hospitality, and tourism.”
A Showcase of Innovation and Expertise
During the three-day event, visitors discovered the latest hotel management technologies, high-efficiency kitchen equipment, international franchise solutions, and creative gourmet products.High-level competitions — such as the Heritage on a Plate contest, the Davinci Gourmet Barista Craft Championship, and the Wine Service & Cocktail Demo — celebrated young talents and Khmer cuisine before an international jury.

A Springboard for Youth and the Economy
In parallel, the Tourism Career Fair 2025 offered young Cambodians a unique opportunity to meet employers and explore career paths in hospitality.
Supported by the Ministries of Tourism and Commerce, the event confirmed Cambodia’s growing status as a major regional player in gastronomy and tourism.

Thanks to the synergy between public and private stakeholders, CAMFOOD CAMHOTEL 2025 stands out not only as a celebration of Cambodian taste and talent but also as a driving force for professionalization and regional competitiveness.
