Cambodia is impressing visitors at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Japan, where the country is showcasing not only its vibrant culture, but also its creative industries and export potential to an international audience.

The Expo, which began on 13 April and will run until 13 October 2025, is expected to attract more than 28 million visitors and bring together 158 countries.
At the heart of Cambodia's presence is a pavilion inspired by the Koh Ker temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, symbolising the country's commitment to preserving its cultural heritage while embracing innovation. The pavilion offers a wide variety of Khmer products, reflecting the country's rich traditions and its ambitions for sustainable development and international trade.
Satcha, a leading Cambodian craft centre, has been appointed as the official commercial operator of the pavilion. Its mission is to showcase the best products from Cambodia, encourage sustainable and creative entrepreneurship, and celebrate the ancestral craftsmanship of Khmer artisans.

The Cambodian pavilion is therefore more than just an exhibition space; it is designed as a springboard for emerging Cambodian brands seeking to connect with the Japanese market and the rest of the world. Among the brands featured are:
Alaya Creations: Mandala art, rare archives and historical reinterpretations to preserve the soul of Cambodia.
CamCam: Bold and playful art inspired by Cambodian culture, by artist Joshua Chiang.
Dorsu: Ethical fashion essentials from Kampot, fighting fast fashion with style.
Gem Genuine: Authentic Cambodian gemstones, crafted with love and tradition.
Lotus D'Angkor: Jewellery made from recycled ammunition casings, a symbol of resilience and creativity.
Smateria: Elegant and eco-friendly bags made by Khmer women.
S.E.A.T.S Farm: Promoting sustainable agriculture in Cambodia with organic fruit and vegetables and a commitment to the community and environmental protection.
Soieries du Mékong: Hand-woven scarves that empower women and perpetuate ancestral skills.
Nipoan Chavigny-Chheng, who led the efforts to showcase representative Cambodian commercial items for this exhibition, explains:
‘Exporting Cambodian products and proudly showcasing the incredible craftsmanship, artistry and quality that the Kingdom of Wonders has to offer the world was a dream.
Today, after four months of effort, I can finally say that my dream is beginning to come true. Thanks to the invaluable support of the Cambodian Ministry of Commerce, the Satcha - សច្ចៈ craft centre has succeeded in bringing together eight exceptional brands from various sectors, which are now on display in the pavilion's commercial area.’
‘Not all countries have chosen to include a commercial area in their pavilion. Cambodia has done so because we believe in our ability to produce and export high-quality products to the international market.’
‘If you are visiting Osaka, please come and see us. We will be there until October 2025. We sincerely thank H.E. Bong សំហង បូរ៉ា - Samheng Bora for his continued support. To my business partner Pierre A. Romano, to our managing director Yaya, to our team and to my tireless life partner Florian Morango, thank you for trusting me with this project. A big thank you to our platinum sponsor J Tower 3 BKK1 and to our partner All Dreams Cambodia — none of this would have been possible without you. Thank you to all our suppliers for their endless patience with me throughout the project. (in progress for agricultural suppliers).
