Francophonie Village 2025: A vibrant celebration of Francophone culture in the heart of Siem Reap

From November 14 to 16, 2025, the picturesque city of Siem Reap, Cambodia, will vibrate to the sound of the French language and the richness of the global francophonie. The Village de la Francophonie 2025 will brilliantly take over the banks of the Siem Reap river, transforming the city into an open-air festival dedicated to art, culture, gastronomy, and intercultural dialogue.

Francophonie Village 2025 : Une célébration vibrante de la culture francophone au cœur de Siem Reap

Organized by the Chambre de Commerce France-Cambodge (CCIFC) with the support of a wide network of public and private partners, this event marks a major step in preparation for the Sommet de la Francophonie 2026, which will be held in Cambodia for the first time.

For three unforgettable days, the village will welcome local residents, travelers, and francophone communities around the fundamental values of the francophonie: diversity, creativity, and conviviality.

A Sensory and Festive Immersion

Visitors will be able to discover more than 50 exhibitors presenting arts, crafts, and culinary specialties, and attend more than 15 live performances, ranging from concerts to contemporary dance. The family program will extend to creative workshops and traditional games celebrating French and Khmer roots.

The kickoff on Friday, November 14, will be marked by a spectacular inauguration ceremony blending official speeches, traditional Khmer performances, and a Franco-Khmer concert under an illuminated sky, a magical symbol of this cultural gathering. The evening will continue with fusion cuisine combining French elegance and Cambodian flavors.

Saturday, November 15, will offer a day dedicated to art, music, and gastronomy with participatory workshops, street performances, and a closing concert featuring DJs and contemporary dance, reflecting the dynamic union of francophone and Khmer cultures.

Finally, Sunday, November 16, will be devoted to family and traditions with traditional games, craft workshops, culinary demonstrations, and tastings highlighting the « art de vivre à la française ». The evening will end with a multicultural celebration rich in music, crafts, and gastronomy.

An Event Full of Meaning and Promise

The Village de la Francophonie 2025 is much more than a simple festival: it is a celebration of Cambodia's role within the global francophone community and a living laboratory in anticipation of the Francophonie Summit 2026.

Organized by the CCIFC, it reflects the country's willingness to welcome the world with warmth, organization, and creativity, thereby strengthening ties between public institutions, private enterprises, and cultural actors.

Strong Support and Rich Programming

The event enjoys support from prestigious partners, including the French Embassy in Cambodia, the Government of Quebec in Southeast Asia, as well as companies like TotalEnergies and Sofitel Angkor Phokeethra.

The famous Quebecois singer Fabienne Thibeault, an emblematic defender of francophone culture, honors the festival with her presence, perfectly embodying the spirit of dialogue and exchange that animates the programming.

A Celebration Open to All

Free and multilingual (French, Khmer, English), the festival expects nearly 5,000 visitors over three days of celebration, discovery, and sharing. Activities for all ages, exhibitions, craft markets, artistic performances, and gastronomic experiences create a vibrant human setting in the heart of Siem Reap.

With the Village de la Francophonie 2025, Siem Reap is preparing to become in 2026 the cultural and diplomatic capital of the francophonie in Southeast Asia, a strong symbol of the richness of intercultural exchanges and the unifying power of the French language.
