Fresh from a solo exhibition at the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum, he invites the Phnom Penh audience to immerse themselves in his emotional universe, where the forest becomes a mirror of the human soul.

Journey of a Vietnamese Visionary
Trained at the College of Music and Fine Arts of Guangxi Normal University in China, Bui Hoang Duong excels in exploring existential themes—vulnerability, joy, love, and the complexity of human experience.
His expressive compositions, both intimate refuge and social reflection, have marked several solo exhibitions in Vietnam, including Forever at VICAS Art Studio (Hanoi), Tarot Journey of Duong at Gallery 29 Hang Bai, Mo Muong at the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum, and Duong’s Verse at the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Museum. This first Cambodian exhibition represents an international milestone for this Vietnam-based artist.

The “Forest” Series: Landscape and Soul Intertwined
At the heart of the exhibition lies a selection from the Forest series, where the forest transforms into both a physical landscape and an inner realm. Displayed in the distinctive gallery spaces of The Plantation—surrounded by lush greenery and its iconic koi pond—the works reveal Duong’s evolving visual language and his meditative approach to painting. Alexander Scheible, General Manager of the resort, notes: “We are delighted to host an artist of such international stature. His work encourages reflection and intercultural dialogue, in line with our commitment to supporting diverse artistic voices.”

A Must-See Cultural Event
The opening reception will take place on February 1, 2026, open to media and collectors wishing to meet the artist during his brief stay in Phnom Penh. Titled Bui Hoang Duong — Solo Exhibition, this presentation at The Plantation Urban Resort & Spa offers a rare opportunity for cultural exchange between Vietnam and Cambodia.
