The ATR 72-600, renowned for its fuel efficiency - it consumes 15-20% less fuel than older models - and its ability to operate on short runways, is considered the ideal aircraft for Cambodia's diverse airport network. Passengers can look forward to a quieter, more comfortable cabin, with wider seats and modern equipment. The aircraft also meets the latest environmental standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), and is trusted by over 200 airlines worldwide.

Air Cambodia plans to receive two additional ATR 72-600s later this year, with deliveries scheduled for October and November. The airline is also preparing to introduce Airbus A320s and other aircraft capable of serving longer routes, diversifying its fleet to meet a variety of operational needs.

In response to the growing demand for international travel, Air Cambodia is planning new routes to high-potential markets, including Northeast Asia, China, South Asia and Australia. The airline's progressive expansion strategy aims to strengthen Cambodia's global connectivity and support long-term growth. As part of its vision, Air Cambodia aims to increase its fleet to 33 aircraft in the coming years.

"As Cambodia's national airline, Air Cambodia plays an essential role in linking the country's cities and connecting the Kingdom to international destinations. More than just a means of transport, each flight represents national pride and progress,” said the airline in its press release.

The airline currently operates domestic services and international flights to China, Thailand and Vietnam. Plans are also underway to launch flights to Japan in October 2025, following regulatory approval from both countries - a move designed to meet growing demand from tourists and investors.

Air Cambodia encourages locals to fly with the national airline, promising quality service, safe operations and a commitment to national development.
