The Phokeethra Sports Club once again confirmed its status as an iconic tennis venue in the heart of the Cambodian capital. During the 2025 Tennis Tournament, the club offered a green setting and flawless organization, conducive to a weekend filled with tennis passion and conviviality.
On the courts, the atmosphere combined intensity and enthusiasm, carried by the warm encouragement of the audience, shared laughter, and exemplary fair play by the players. The participants unanimously praised the perfect organizational mastery, a guarantee of a smooth and successful tournament.
Sportingly, the competition lived up to all expectations with a level worthy of a French 3rd series tournament. Players from diverse backgrounds delivered high-level matches, where commitment, precision, and mutual respect prevailed. This club remains one of the rare places where the friendly spirit of tournaments endures and manifests fully.
Among the women, Han Tang confirmed her status as the player of the moment by winning against Voleak Pak, who did not disgrace herself against her training partner. Among the men, victory went to Yoshiaki Fujimoto, who defeated Dittberner Mathiew in a hard-fought final. Fujimoto stood out with a classic game, without extravagance, but with surgical precision and a formidable strategy, making him an opponent both feared and respected.
Among the pros, the very consistent Samneang Long, who is also a coach at Sofitel, took the upper hand over Poeuv Vireak, while Sarith Our claimed third place.
The success of this event also owes much to the loyal support of Lyyon Drinking Water and Coca-Cola, regular partners of the club. The 2025 edition marks a highlight of the tennis season in Phnom Penh, blending sporting excellence and camaraderie spirit.
