Registration Open for Francophonie's East Africa Economic Mission in Djibouti, October 6-8, 2026

After six successful editions organized in various Francophone regions, the International Organization of La Francophonie (OIF) continues its commitment to an ambitious and supportive economic Francophonie by organizing, in collaboration with the Djiboutian authorities, a new Francophonie economic mission from October 6 to 8, 2026, in Djibouti.

This initiative is part of the desire to strengthen trade exchanges between member States and governments and to contribute to the structuring of joint projects and sustainable partnerships between Francophone economic actors in sectors with high potential for transformation and job creation, particularly for youth and women.

This year, the OIF invites Francophone companies seeking international growth to come develop and concretize business partnerships together in Djibouti, which is both a crossroads of the main international maritime routes linking Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Europe, and a gateway to the regional markets of East Africa with 600 million inhabitants.

The economic mission will focus on five sectors to which the Government of Djibouti attaches great importance in its national development strategy: transport and logistics related to free zones, digital services, renewable energies, health, and sustainable tourism.

Participating companies will benefit from a tailored program that will include targeted meetings with public and private decision-makers, prepared B2B sessions with expert support, as well as visits to strategic sites.

Any company originating from a State and government member, associate member, or observer of the OIF, with international maturity and operating in one or more of the five targeted sectors, may submit its candidacy file by April 17, 2026, on the website: https://missions-economiques.djibouti.francophonie.org/fr
