Cambodia’s revered cookbook series, The Taste of Angkor (volumes 1 and 2), has soared to culinary stardom, securing the prestigious “Best of the Best – Cambodia” award at the Gourmand Awards Best of the Best 1995-2025, held amid the vibrant Saudi Feast Food Festival in Riyadh.

Outshining entries from nearly 200 nations, this triumph—announced during the November 27-30 event—marks the series’ fifth international accolade, a testament to Khmer gastronomy’s enduring allure on the world stage.
A Legacy of Accolades
Launched by Cambodia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the inaugural edition debuted in 2021 under Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn’s patronage, swiftly earning “Best Asian Cookbook” that year, followed by “Best Asian Cuisine Book” and the “Heads of State/Food” honor in 2022, plus a “Best Television Award” in 2023.
