Can you introduce yourself in a few words?

I am Sophie Meas, a Franco-Cambodian entrepreneur specialized in e-commerce logistics and digital transformation. I am the co-founder of ShopRunBack and Vice-President of Pravinya eServices. My career is driven by a strong ambition: to create innovative, impactful solutions and contribute to the development of Cambodia's tech ecosystem, while inspiring a new generation of women entrepreneurs.

Tell us about your academic background

I left Cambodia at the age of 10 to pursue my studies in France. I followed a path focused on international commerce and logistics, with a Bachelor's in international transport, then a Master's in international management and an MBA in procurement and supply chain at ESG in Paris. This training gave me a global vision of international trade and the operational challenges of supply chains.

Tell us about your early professional career

I began my career in logistics and international transport in France, notably at Phat Logistics & Consulting Group, where I spent several years in strategic development and management roles. I then joined ShipLeader, a company specialized in e-commerce logistics, where I worked on innovative projects. These experiences allowed me to gain solid operational expertise before launching into entrepreneurship.

Give us details on your relationship with Cambodia

Cambodia is an integral part of my identity. Even though I grew up in France, I always maintained a strong connection to my country of origin. Returning to invest professionally there was a natural choice. Today, I want to actively contribute to its economic and technological development, bringing an international perspective and supporting the emergence of a dynamic local entrepreneurial ecosystem.

How did you come to join French Tech in Cambodia?

My commitment to the entrepreneurial and tech ecosystem naturally led me to join French Tech Phnom Penh. It's a platform that brings together players sharing a common will to innovate and grow the local ecosystem. My ambition is to help strengthen the visibility and credibility of French Tech in Cambodia, while creating concrete opportunities for entrepreneurs. I particularly want to support the emergence of innovative projects, encourage more women to become entrepreneurs, and foster connections with international ecosystems. I also expect from this structure a true spirit of collaboration and tangible impact on the ground.

Today, I split my activities between two projects:With ShopRunBack, I work on technological solutions to optimize international e-commerce returns management, a key challenge for brands. In parallel, with Pravinya eServices, I contribute to developing digital solutions aimed at simplifying administrative services, improving access to technology, and supporting the digital transformation of organizations in Cambodia.

Detail one of your projects

One of the key projects I lead is ShopRunBack, which I co-founded in 2014—a solution dedicated to international e-commerce returns management. Our technology is partly developed in Cambodia, while serving European and international brands. We have transformed a complex and costly process into a true performance lever, thanks to a platform combined with a global logistics network that enables smooth, real-time returns management. This project fully reflects my vision: connecting ecosystems, valuing local talent, and using technology to simplify complex operations on an international scale.

What are your activities outside of work?

Outside of my professional activities, I enjoy traveling, playing sports, and taking an interest in fashion. I also place great importance on meetings and exchanges, which are often a source of inspiration. These moments are essential for maintaining balance, gaining perspective, and nurturing my creativity.

What do you like most and least about Cambodia?

What I particularly appreciate about Cambodia is the energy it exudes, the largely untapped potential, and the speed at which the country is evolving. There's a real entrepreneurial dynamic, driven by an ambitious new generation open to the world. Opportunities are plentiful, especially in technology, digital, and services sectors, making it a very attractive market for entrepreneurship and innovation.

What remains a challenge is that the structuring of certain sectors is still underway, and access to certain resources or specialized talent can sometimes be a hurdle. But it's precisely this context that makes the experience so enriching. There's real room to create, experiment, and have concrete impact. In Cambodia, much remains to be built, and that's what makes the adventure both demanding and exciting.
