Between Artistic Expression and Social Engagement, Cambodia's Capital Prepares to Pulse with an Exceptional Initiative. Artists for Humanity – Everyday People brings together sixteen Cambodian artists for a collective exhibition and charitable auction, culminating on April 2, 2026, at Rosewood Phnom Penh. This event transforms the ordeal of border tensions into an ode to solidarity and creation.

A Project Born from a Sensitive Context
The Artists for Humanity – Everyday People initiative emerged amid recent tensions between Thailand and Cambodia. Rather than succumbing to despair, sixteen Cambodian artists chose a resolutely creative response. Their medium? Painting, visual storytelling, and collective energy harnessed for a humanitarian cause.
This momentum gave birth to Art in Action, a movement blending artistic creation with tangible social impact. For several weeks, a selection of works is on display in three iconic Phnom Penh venues: Rosewood Phnom Penh, Courtyard by Marriott, and Raffles Hotel Le Royal, underscoring the hospitality sector's role in elevating the city's cultural scene.
An Auction to Support Vulnerable Communities
The centerpiece event takes place on April 2, 2026, at Rosewood Phnom Penh. During an evening featuring an exceptional dinner and auction, guests can acquire the exhibited works, all created by emerging or established talents from Cambodia's art landscape.
Among the featured artists is Im Seila, whose painting is presented here in a preview as part of this campaign.
The fund allocation reflects a fair and sustainable vision:
50% of sales proceeds go directly to the participating artists,
50% supports Heartprint Cambodia, a local organization active in education, health, housing access, and community development in rural areas, particularly Siem Reap.
This model aims to foster a virtuous ecosystem where art drives economic and social empowerment while aiding the most vulnerable populations.
An Commitment Rooted in Rosewood's Philosophy
For Rosewood Phnom Penh, this event fits into a broader commitment to local integration and community engagement. Located in Vattanac Capital Tower, the hotel regularly showcases local talent through its art programming, partnerships with educational NGOs, and purpose-driven cuisine (hydroponic garden, short supply chains, support for young chefs).
By hosting the Artists for Humanity finale, the property reaffirms its belief: art can be a powerful lever for social transformation, provided it gains visibility and spaces for creators, patrons, and audiences to connect.
An Exhibition to Discover in Three Exceptional Venues
Before the auction, the public can explore the collective exhibition at the three partner establishments. This artistic itinerary reaches a wide audience while highlighting the vibrancy of Cambodia's contemporary scene. Each venue offers a unique setting: colonial heritage at Raffles, modernity at Courtyard, and contemporary elegance at Rosewood.
