Franklin Fonou, TLScontact Centre Director in Cambodia
Originally from Cameroon, Franklin Fonou holds an advanced degree in computer systems. He began his career in the call-center industry, later serving in management at the Canadian company TELUS.
Two years ago, he joined TLScontact. With over fifteen years of experience in customer-service, he was transferred to Cambodia from TLScontact’s centre in Manila, Philippines. Immediately won over by Phnom Penh — for its friendly people, calm atmosphere, accessible transport, and diverse culinary scene — he benefited from the company’s support in integrating locally.
As head of TLScontact in Cambodia, Franklin Fonou oversees the daily operations to ensure high-quality service for applicants and partners. For the past two years, the Ambassade de France au Cambodge has outsourced the collection of visa applications to TLScontact: the latter manages information, reception, document collection, biometric data (photo and fingerprints), before forwarding the applications for official review.
The Embassy remains responsible for processing the applications and issuing decisions. The current average processing time is around 10 working days.
