In a speech marked by patriotism and unity, Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet reaffirmed the royal government's unwavering support for Cambodian troops on the front lines, promising that ‘the entire nation stands firmly’ behind those defending the country's sovereignty.

Addressing the nation via his official social media accounts on the evening of 19 July, Samdech Thipadei spoke following the remarkable Solidarity March held on 18 June 2026, an event that brought together Cambodians from all walks of life in the streets, united in a powerful demonstration of national determination and unity.

The march, which was attended by government representatives, veterans, students and ordinary citizens from across the kingdom, sent a clear and resounding message: Cambodia is indivisible and its defenders are never alone.

Prime Minister Hun Manet's message was not merely ceremonial, but conveyed sincere gratitude and solemn assurance. ‘On behalf of the Royal Government, I would like to express my deep gratitude to all compatriots who have once again demonstrated unity,’ he said.

‘Your solidarity sends a powerful message of encouragement to the brave men and women serving on the front lines, reminding them that the nation is watching over them, supporting them and honouring their courage.’

‘Our soldiers remain steadfast and vigilant,’ the Prime Minister emphasised, ‘standing courageously to defend our country's sovereignty and territorial integrity, refusing to give up even an inch.’ The troops on the front lines, he said, ‘embody the heroism and indomitable spirit of the Khmer people.’

“Cambodia is firmly committed to seeking peaceful solutions through technical mechanisms — in particular the Joint Commission on the Boundary (JCB) — and through international legal channels, notably the International Court of Justice (ICJ),” he said.

Nevertheless, the Prime Minister made it clear that this commitment to peace was accompanied by an unwavering determination to defend the Kingdom against any violation of its sovereignty. ‘In the event of a deliberate violation of Cambodia's sovereignty through the use of force, Cambodia is ready to respond decisively through its armed forces,’ Hun Manet warned.

Reaffirming the nation's gratitude, Prime Minister Hun Manet expressed his special thanks to the leaders and members of the military hierarchy at all levels for their discipline. ‘To our armed forces on the front lines, including those carrying out defence and support missions, I salute your respect and strict obedience to the orders of the commander-in-chief and all senior commanders,’ he said. ‘Your discipline is the pillar of our nation's security.’
