Sports: Cambodian dance team wins five medals at the 2025 Asian and Southeast Asian Championships

Cambodian dance sport athletes have once again demonstrated their talent on the regional stage, winning five medals—one silver and four bronze—at the highly competitive 2025 Asian and Southeast Asian Championships.
The Secretary General of the Cambodian Dance Sport Federation, Ms. Hang Simorn, highlighted the exceptional performances of the national team, particularly the remarkable results achieved by Ms. Or Rachny.
Competing in the Solo Youth Single Dance category, Ms. Rachny dazzled the judges and audience, winning a silver medal in Jive and a bronze medal in Paso Doble, demonstrating her technical skill, sense of rhythm, and artistic expression.
Other medalists contributed to Cambodia's success, including the dynamic duo of Ms. Seng Sokim and Ms. Mov Danita, who won a bronze medal in the Paso Doble couple dance event.
In addition, the duo of Mr. Chum Lyheang and Ms. Or Raksa demonstrated their versatility and talent by winning two bronze medals in the Samba and Cha Cha Cha categories, further strengthening Cambodia's position in the competition. Ms. Hang Simorn expressed her deep pride in the team's results, attributing their success to rigorous training, unwavering dedication, and the invaluable experience gained through international competitions.
“Our dancers have shown extraordinary growth and resilience. We are confident that with continued support and development, they will win even more awards in future tournaments,” she said.
The Cambodian delegation consisted of 18 talented athletes, accompanied by technical director and head of delegation Mr. Shou Dong and coach Ms. You Shu Jie, whose expert guidance played a key role in preparing the team for the challenges of such a demanding tournament.
