The Morodok Techo flyover (1st level) was temporarily put into service on 25 December, according to Dor Samphors, spokeswoman for Phnom Penh City Hall.

The opening of the first level of the structure is intended to reduce traffic congestion and make it easier for builders to complete the remaining construction work.

The Overseas Cambodian Investment Corporation (OCIC) plans to complete construction of the entire motorway within 36 months. The total cost of the project is approximately 36 million US dollars.

To date, Phnom Penh has a total of 7 flyovers built and in service, including those at Kbal Thnal, 7 January, Stung Meanchey, 5 January, Sen Sok (Cambodia-China friendship), Choam Chao and National Road 5 (Russey Keo).
