It was Thursday evening, in the premises of Confluences in Phnom Penh, that the company's 10th anniversary celebration took place, coinciding with the birthday of its founder and CEO, Soreasmey Key Bin. Nearly 300 people – employees, partners, clients, friends, and notable figures – gathered around a generous buffet and barbecue in a warm and convivial atmosphere.

A maturity forged in adversity
When asked about the impression left by these ten years, Soreasmey dismisses the idea of mere stabilization: “No, for us, it's more like the beginning of another adventure,” he explains. Despite a complex economic and political context in Cambodia, Confluences has proven its solidity. The company now has well-seasoned teams, ready to build the future.
An inveterate optimist, Soreasmey admits he “never really doubted the project,” even though the scale of its developments exceeded his initial expectations.

Growth in symbiosis with the country
Starting with two people – himself and an intern – Confluences now employs nearly 40 staff members, including many carefully recruited francophone executives.
“We've grown simply by following the country's evolution,” emphasizes Soreasmey, who sees this trajectory as a reflection of resilience, though punctuated by unforeseen obstacles every year. This personal project embodies his vision of lasting commitment and unwavering optimism.

Announcements for the future
At the celebration, two flagship partnerships were unveiled. First, an agreement with Artisans d’Angkor for the Immersive Angkor project, which has been in development for four years. Work will begin on February 23 at the new Artisans d’Angkor site, a key player in Cambodian craftsmanship employing over 1,500 artisans.
Next, a collaboration with the Paul bakeries – an international presence with over 400 outlets – finalized after a year of negotiations, which enhances Confluences' culinary offerings. These alliances strengthen the company's position in immersive tourism and mark its entry into the restaurant sector.

The memory of the post-Covid reopening
Asked about his best memory, Soreasmey unhesitatingly recalls Cambodia's reopening after the pandemic: “We had a fantastic evening with our entire community,” he remembers, describing a moment of collective joy when everything fell into place.
This post-Covid resilience also symbolizes Confluences' spirit, ready to conquer new horizons and overcome fresh challenges for a promising future.
