Building on an initial fruitful dialogue with public actors in the Franco-Cambodian educational and scientific sector, Edumalin continues its establishment in Cambodia with the strategic support of Confluences.

The French edtech company, already recognized for its structured approach to learning and the use of artificial intelligence in teaching, is now engaging in direct collaboration with educational authorities and development partners to bring digital pedagogy into Cambodian classrooms.
Since 2016, Edumalin has established itself as a reference in the French educational landscape, covering nearly 20% of schools in France today. Its expansion to Morocco, Ethiopia, and other countries demonstrates the effectiveness of its model: a platform combining pedagogical rigor, interactive digital tools, and teacher support in delivering structured knowledge.
Its success is based on a simple but fundamental principle: making teaching more explicit, more efficient, and more accessible through data-driven pedagogy and an intelligent assistant that facilitates student autonomy.
A Franco-Cambodian alliance under the banner of educational technology
At the VivaTech 2025 exhibition, the cooperation between Edumalin, France Éducation International (FEI), the Cambodian Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI), and Confluences gained new momentum. Together, the partners outlined a project aimed at adapting the Edumalin platform to the specific needs of the Cambodian educational system.
Thanks to the coordination of Confluences, the key facilitator of the project, Edumalin met with several leading national institutions, including the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports (MoEYS) and the National Institute of Education (NIE). These exchanges helped to better understand national priorities in digital transformation and the development of local pedagogical skills.
Additionally, discussions with development partners such as the French Development Agency (AFD) and the European Union Delegation to Cambodia opened collaboration prospects for financing and deploying large-scale digital training solutions.
Technological bridges for integrated digital education
Beyond institutional discussions, Edumalin has established itself within the local digital ecosystem. In-depth meetings took place with the Institute of Technology of Cambodia (ITC) and the Cambodian Academy of Digital Technology (CADT), two major institutions in shaping the national digital strategy.
The goal: to understand the technical specificities of the local educational system and explore the conditions for integrating the Edumalin platform into existing infrastructures. This step is particularly important in a context where digital technology is an essential lever for modernizing the education system.
Edumalin's approach is based on an explicit and progressive learning methodology, combined with interactive resources and intelligent teacher support. Its ecosystem promotes both teacher skills development and student autonomy while providing valuable data to assess progress and adjust pedagogical strategies.
A national context favorable to digital education
This dynamic fits perfectly with the Cambodian government's vision, which places the digitization of education at the heart of its long-term development strategy. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, the country has redoubled efforts to modernize its education system and bridge the digital divide.
The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports has thus launched the Digital Education Strategy 2025 (DESS), an ambitious roadmap aimed at promoting digital culture, integrating artificial intelligence into school programs, strengthening technological infrastructures, and developing teachers' digital skills.
Edumalin’s arrival in Cambodia aligns well with these goals. Its expertise in supporting teachers and personalizing learning represents a potential catalyst to accelerate the digital transformation of the national education system.
New steps for a sustainable partnership
Exchanges with local institutions and international donors have helped identify both the opportunities and challenges to ensure the project's success: linguistic and cultural adaptation of content, teacher training, technological skills transfer, and sustainable financing of pilot programs.
Building on this initial milestone, Edumalin, supported by Confluences and its public and private partners, is now preparing an operational roadmap for the next phase: the concrete implementation of pilot projects within secondary education institutions.
This deployment, based on a collaborative and progressive approach, aims to create conditions for a lasting impact on teaching and learning in Cambodia.
By betting on the convergence of technology, pedagogy, and international cooperation, Edumalin and its partners offer a renewed vision of education: an open, connected system resolutely focused on the future.
