Culture & Sofitel : Musica Felice Turns Ten with “Global Fusion”
Phnom Penh’s international choir brings 22 nationalities to the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra stage on 25 October for an anniversary charity concert.

Musica Felice is ten years old. Born in Cambodia, the choir has grown into a small international community. Singers from 28 countries have shared its stage since it began. Its motto fits in three words: “Love is Power”.
To mark the anniversary, the group is preparing an entirely new programme called “Global Fusion”. It will take place on Sunday 25 October 2026, from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, in the Grand Ballroom of the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra. It will be the choir’s 17th charity concert.
Twenty-two countries on one stage
This year’s ensemble brings together performers from 22 countries: Argentina, Australia, Botswana, Brazil, Cambodia, Canada, China, Cyprus, France, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, the Netherlands, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Russia, South Africa, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and Vietnam.
The programme promises a journey through musical cultures and traditions, much like the choir itself.
Cantus Choir from Vietnam will join the celebration. The group already visited Phnom Penh last year. This time they return with 30 singers, who will add to the Musica Felice ranks.
Music for a cause
As at every concert, proceeds will go to Cambodian organisations. Two beneficiaries have been chosen.
SeeBeyondBorders, which works in Siem Reap Province, will use the funds to develop educational resources and improve learning conditions for Cambodian children.
Empowering Youth in Cambodia (EYC), based in Phnom Penh, works with disadvantaged children and young people in the capital. The concert will support its activities.
Both organisations continue an approach that has followed the choir from the start: turning a shared musical moment into concrete help for Cambodian communities.
Ten years, and what comes next
Over a decade, many singers have passed through Musica Felice. Thousands of spectators have come to hear them in the capital’s concert halls. Each of them, singer, audience member, partner or beneficiary, has a place in the group’s story.
“Global Fusion” is meant to be more than one more concert: a musical look back at ten years of cultural exchange and ties with Cambodia. The organisers are already asking the public what the next ten years might look like.
