Tripadvisor praises:

“Angkor Wat is a wonder of the world — it’s easy to understand why. Explore this UNESCO World Heritage site and be amazed by its grand architecture and finely carved sculptures.”

Each year, hundreds of thousands of visitors flock to this exceptional sanctuary, eager to soak in its mystical aura and ancient legends.

Just in the first seven months of 2025, the entire Angkor archaeological park, covering an impressive area of 401 square kilometers and housing 91 ancient temples, welcomed 618,771 international tourists — an increase of 5.8% compared to the previous year.

The testimonies of these travelers are as passionate as they are unanimous in praise. One visitor shared:

“Visiting Angkor Wat was an unforgettable experience. The grandeur of its architecture, the finesse of its bas-reliefs, and the deep historical significance it emanates are simply captivating. Walking through its ancient corridors is like traveling back in time. Watching the sunrise over the temple is a magical sight that fully justifies an early wake-up! The site is perfectly maintained, and the guides share fascinating stories about the Khmer empire and the symbols adorned on each stone. Despite its worldwide fame, a feeling of peace and spirituality persists behind its walls. Whether one is a history enthusiast, a photographer, or a simple admirer of beauty, Angkor Wat is a must-visit destination, a true wonder of the world.”

Another tourist testified:

“Angkor Wat is simply breathtaking! Walking through this ancient complex at sunrise, as the golden light caresses the stone towers, creates a magical atmosphere. The architecture, sculptures, and scale of the temple defy imagination. It is a once-in-a-lifetime visit.”

Built in the 12th century under the visionary reign of King Suryavarman II, Angkor Wat remains the largest religious monument in the world. Over the decades, it has accumulated multiple prestigious distinctions: the best site to admire a sunrise in the world, the most photogenic UNESCO World Heritage site in Asia, the best tourist attraction worldwide, and is recognized as the Eighth Wonder of the World. The resurgence of tourist interest is also reflected economically: the site generated 28.6 million dollars in ticket revenue over the first seven months of 2025, an increase of 5.3%, significantly contributing to the Cambodian economy.

Its title as the most popular destination in Asia for 2025 is not merely an award but an invitation to discover one of the most fascinating cultural and spiritual wonders on Earth.

Angkor Wat continues to fascinate, inspire, and amaze, cementing its eternal place in the hearts of travelers and heritage enthusiasts worldwide.
