Cambodia: La French Tech Phnom Penh launches “Rendez-Vous Tech” at the Digital Trade Forum
La French Tech Phnom Penh is launching “Rendez-Vous Tech”, a new initiative designed to create more opportunities for entrepreneurs, startups, companies and technology professionals to meet, exchange ideas and build concrete connections within Cambodia’s fast-growing digital ecosystem.
A new meeting point for the tech community
The first edition of Rendez-Vous Tech will take place from 11 to 13 September 2026, as La French Tech Phnom Penh takes part in the 3rd Cambodia Digital Trade Forum and Online Expo, organised by the Ministry of Commerce at the Koh Pich Expo in Phnom Penh.

Rendez-Vous Tech is intended to become a regular fixture for the technology community and startups, offering a simple, accessible space for exchange, encounters, shared experience and new collaborations.
A major forum for Cambodia’s digital economy
The Digital Trade Forum will bring together numerous institutional representatives and private-sector leaders, reflecting the event’s strategic importance for the development of Cambodia’s digital economy.
The opening ceremony will feature an address by Her Excellency Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, along with remarks from Mr Vijay Kumar Akasam, Country Operations Head for Cambodia at the Asian Development Bank (ADB), a representative of the United States Embassy, and Mr Kensuke Tsuchiya, President of Toyota (Cambodia).
The programme will also include a high-level dialogue on the theme “Cambodia’s Digital Trade Infrastructure Towards 2030”, bringing together representatives of the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, the National Bank of Cambodia, and Neak Oknha Sear Rithy, Founder and Chairman of WorldBridge International Group.
A joint Cambodia–United States–United Kingdom networking reception, held together with the British and American embassies, will also be among the Forum’s highlights.
With a dedicated presence across the three days of the event, La French Tech Phnom Penh is firmly part of this leading institutional and diplomatic environment, strengthening its role as a bridge between Cambodia’s public institutions, international partners and the local technology ecosystem.
La French Tech Phnom Penh at the Digital Trade Forum
Throughout the three days of the Digital Trade Forum, La French Tech Phnom Penh will host a dedicated stand, where its team will welcome community members, entrepreneurs, startups, companies and other participants with an interest in technology and innovation.
• A La French Tech Phnom Penh stand, with the team present from 11 to 13 September.
• A Tech Talk by Thierry Tea, Co-Chair of La French Tech Phnom Penh, as part of the TEDxPhnomPenh Salon, on 12 September.
• Informal encounters and exchanges with the local tech and startup community.
• Meetings with Cambodian startups as well as French startups based in Cambodia.
• Opportunities for entrepreneurs and ecosystem players to connect directly with La French Tech Phnom Penh.
From encounters to concrete connections
Rendez-Vous Tech is built on a simple principle: connections often begin with a conversation. The initiative aims to encourage more direct interaction between the people who build, fund and support technology and startups in Cambodia.
Through regular meetings and community activities, La French Tech Phnom Penh wants to create more opportunities to discover new projects, share experiences, identify potential partners and help strengthen the startup ecosystem as a whole.
