The General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia (GDCE) collected about US$2.590 billion as tax revenue in 2024, up 13.8 percent from US$2.288 billion the previous year.

Despite some major challenges, the GDCE has achieved a remarkable customs collection, said H.E. Aun Pornmoniroth on the occasion.
He commended the efforts of the GDCE management and staff for their strong revenue collection, which has achieved remarkable results despite the challenges of the past year.
"The GDCE's revenue collection has been remarkable despite some challenges, including the slow global economic recovery, the ongoing Russia-Ukraine and Israel-Hamas wars, Middle East issues and geopolitical tensions," he said.
Looking ahead to 2025, the Deputy Prime Minister outlined key priorities for improving revenue collection and efficiency, including maximising revenue collection, preventing tax evasion, strengthening compliance and e-commerce management, modernising institutions and increasing cooperation with state institutions and the private sector, and improving governance.
The country has two institutions responsible for tax collection. One is the GDCE and the other is the General Department of Taxation (GDT), which focuses on internal taxes such as income tax, payroll tax, VAT and property tax.

There are different situations. I don't have an employer. One day I quit my job and decided that I would use 1xbet apps. I understand very well what is happening in professional sports in Bangladesh and decided to take a risk. I am officially registered with the bookmaker. All my data is there. I regularly request a statement of my income and pay taxes myself at my place of residence. I think it is very convenient.
Taxes today are something little understood. I have a job but I work remotely. My employer pays taxes in his country. Interesting situation.
