In the province of Prey Veng, the Chheu Kach Ba Phnom region is gradually establishing itself as a key stage in Cambodia's tourism development. Driven by concerted efforts of the royal government, this unique site combines deep historical heritage, preserved natural landscapes, and a renewed ambition to boost the local economy through sustainable tourism.

The commitment of local and provincial authorities to rehabilitate infrastructure on site is evident. Significant work has been carried out to modernize road networks, improve environmental management, and strengthen public hygiene services, thus ensuring a superior tourism experience.

These initiatives clearly place Chheu Kach Ba Phnom within the broader framework of the national strategy aiming to diversify the country's economic engines while protecting its cultural treasures, as emphasized by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Information, H.E. Tep Asnarith, during a recent official statement.

This region, considered both the spiritual and cultural cradle of the Khmers, is especially famous for the traditional ceremony "Neak Ta Mes," a spiritual event that continues to attract a respectful and fervent crowd every year, reflecting the immaterial richness that inhabits these lands.

Beyond the festivities, the territory holds vestiges of the ancient Nokor Phnom kingdom, with historical sites such as the Prasat Chan temple, an architectural testimony of the Khmer era, located at the foot of Mount Sampov, another pillar of the local natural majesty.

Official recognition projects as a natural and cultural heritage site, supported by several ministries, reinforce this dynamic. Phnom Chheu Kach, about 78 kilometers from Phnom Penh, is being promoted not only as a sacred high place but also as a must-see attraction for history, spirituality, and nature enthusiasts.

Visitors can discover extraordinary panoramas, rich and protected biodiversity, as well as a cultural basin that links ancient traditions with contemporary development.

Finally, the tourism development in this region aims to create economic opportunities for local communities by promoting a respectful and sustainable approach that values culture, preserves the environment, and fosters inclusive growth. Ba Phnom thus becomes a symbol of a Cambodia where tourism and harmonious development walk hand in hand, offering visitors an experience that is authentic, enriching, and responsible.
