Visa, the global leader in digital payments, in partnership with Wing Bank, The Asia Foundation, and Good Return, has launched “Vee Together by Visa,” a multipartite social impact initiative designed to strengthen micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in Cambodia's tourism sector so they can operate more effectively and grow in a rapidly expanding digital market.

Tourism is at the heart of the Cambodian economy, and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises are the essential engines that support employment, provide key experiences for visitors, and drive economic development in local communities. Yet many small businesses continue to face challenges in accessing financing, adopting digital tools, and serving customers in the digital economy.
Vee Together by Visa aims to remove these barriers by offering micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises better access to financing, secure digital payments, skill-building, and tourism-related insights to help them improve operations, deliver better services, and grow more confidently, according to a Visa press release.
Rooted in Visa's flagship social impact framework in Asia-Pacific, Digitally Inclusive Commerce Ecosystem (DICE), this initiative brings together public and private partners to lay the foundations for a modern tourism business ecosystem. The program focuses on key areas for micro, small, and medium-sized enterprise competitiveness: payments, financing, connectivity, skills training, insights, and community support.
“Vee Together by Visa supports our national priority of enhancing tourism competitiveness and ensuring small businesses can benefit from Cambodia's digital transformation. By developing skills, improving access to digital tools, and supporting communities in key destinations, this partnership helps our tourism micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises deliver better services and create more enriching experiences for visitors,” said H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism.
Arturo Planell, Group General Manager for Southeast Asia, Visa, said: “Vee Together by Visa reflects Visa's commitment to energizing tourism and accelerating digitization in Cambodia. By supporting the businesses that fuel the country's tourism economy with better access to financing, digital payments, practical skills, and tourism insights, we aim to strengthen the competitiveness of the entire tourism value chain. We combine Visa's global trust and security with Cambodian innovation to advance the country's ambitions in digital payments and tourism.”
“Tourism remains a central pillar of the Cambodian economy, generating $3.7 billion USD in 2025 – a 3% increase – and attracting 5.57 million international visitors, with micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises playing a central role in this growth. As a long-time Visa partner since 2018, Wing Bank is proud to join Visa in supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises with financing options backed by Good Return, Visa credit cards, and the introduction of Wing Bank POS terminals for seamless KHQR and card payments,” said Dr. Dmytro Kolechko, CEO of Wing Bank.
“Accompanied by The Asia Foundation's support for financial and digital literacy, these solutions enable entrepreneurs to strengthen their operations and build long-term resilience. We are already seeing positive results and remain committed to promoting the ongoing advancement of Cambodia's tourism sector.”
Bénigne du Parc, Program Director, Good Return, said: “This pilot project reflects Good Return's commitment to ensuring Cambodia's tourism growth delivers real opportunities for women-led businesses and small enterprises. Through our partnership with Wing Bank and The Asia Foundation, and with Visa's support via Vee Together, we are using targeted credit guarantees to help micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises access financing, adopt digital payment solutions, and participate more inclusively in the tourism economy.
By enabling businesses to accept international card payments and build their digital financial capabilities, this initiative will support women-led micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises and help sustain jobs in key tourist cities.”
Meloney C. Lindberg, Country Representative, The Asia Foundation, said: “The Asia Foundation is proud to partner with Visa to support Cambodian tourism entrepreneurs with practical skills and actionable business insights. This initiative reflects our commitment to equipping individuals and communities to shape their future and build future-ready inclusive economies. By strengthening the foundations of digital and data-driven decision-making, we aim to help local businesses – many of which are women-led – grow with confidence and resilience.”
Supporting Cambodia's Digital and Tourism Ambitions

Visa also provides access to tools such as the SMB Online Toolkit, the Shop Small Everyday campaign, and its partnership with the Bakong Tourists App, helping small businesses connect with visitors, diversify revenue, and become more competitive.
By combining global expertise with local innovation, Visa and its partners aim to build a more inclusive and resilient tourism sector – one that supports communities, empowers small businesses, and contributes to Cambodia's long-term economic development.
