AirAsia Cambodia has announced a new flight route connecting Siem Reap with Singapore.
‘Since AirAsia Cambodia commenced operation in May 2024, we have noted a substantial increase in demand and potential for further expansion of our international flight network,’ the company stated.
AirAsia Cambodia has announced that Singapore will be the first of several new destinations to be served by direct flights connecting Phnom Penh and Singapore. Siem Reap provincial governor Prak Sophorn informed local media outlets that the announcement by AirAsia is a significant development, particularly as the province is actively working to increase the number of international tourists returning after the pandemic.
According to the Ministry of Tourism, the country received a total of 3,742,230 international visitors from January to July 2024, representing a 23.2% increase compared to the 3,037,344 visitors received during the same period in 2023. Of these, 24,277 were from Singapore, representing a slight decrease of 2.3%.
