According to digital travel platform Agoda, Phnom Penh has emerged as Asia's most affordable capital for New Year's Eve accommodation.

Booking data analysed by Agoda revealed that the average room in Phnom Penh cost no more than 67 USD on the last day of 2024. The 67 USD rate in Phnom Penh is followed by Hanoi, Vietnam, and Jakarta, Indonesia, with average accommodation rates of 79 USD and 92 USD respectively. Jakarta was also the city where the cheapest hotel room of the Asian capitals was booked for New Year's Eve, with a rate of just 2.45 USD. The most expensive room was a suite booked in Bangkok's Siam district, priced at USD 4,584.61.
