Sustainable Cambodia: Visionaries speak out at the CCIFC Rendezvous

On Wednesday 22 October 2025, at the Factory Phnom Penh, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Cambodia (CCIFC) will be inaugurating the very first Rendez-vous de la CCIFC. This new format is designed to place the exchange of ideas at the heart of a strategic issue: sustainable development.

Sustainable Cambodia: Visionaries speak out at the CCIFC Rendezvous

Faced with the climate emergency and the need to invent a growth model that respects local ecosystems, five experts will share their vision and question the critical role of the private sector, whether it is driving or holding back the ecological transition. More than a debate, an immersion in the commitments and personal trajectories of those who, every day, transform rhetoric into concrete action.

Frantz Vaganay - SEVEA, the holistic vision

A consultant, entrepreneur and trainer, Frantz Vaganay heads SEVEA, a firm renowned for its expertise in supporting energy and water access projects in emerging countries.

In Cambodia, he observes the paradoxes of a fast-growing economy whose environmental balance remains fragile. Trained in international action and development project management, he takes a systemic approach to sustainable development, integrating economic logic, social imperatives and environmental constraints.

Catherine Germier-Hamel - Millenium Destinations, the face of responsible tourism

International consultant and lecturer Catherine Germier-Hamel is a leading figure in ecotourism. At the head of Millenium Destinations, she encourages the implementation of tourism strategies centred on people and the preservation of natural and cultural heritage.

Her outlook is shaped by a career spent between Europe, Asia and Africa, and by projects that seek to combine economic appeal with ecological awareness. In Cambodia, she examines the balance between tourism growth and site preservation.

Sarah Kolbenstetter - Little Green Spark, the art of sorting to transform

Founder of Little Green Spark, Sarah Kolbenstetter has turned waste sorting and management into an innovative force. Passionate about environmental education, she designs practical programmes that encourage businesses, schools and local authorities to rethink their relationship with waste.

Her expertise is based on the idea that sustainable transition starts with everyday actions, and that cultural change is the key to making a real impact.

Alix Langlois - Trash is Nice, the aesthetics of recycling

In the world of Alix Langlois, recycling becomes a creative adventure. Trash is Nice is not just an eco-responsible initiative, it's a laboratory of ideas where waste finds a second life, often transformed into design pieces or useful solutions.

With a background in product design and the circular economy, Alix is the embodiment of a new generation of players where ethics meets aesthetics.

Caroline Bougon-Sirieix - Cambodia Airports, international in scope

Environmental Director at Cambodia Airports (Vinci Airports), Caroline Bougon-Sirieix is responsible for implementing ambitious policies to reduce carbon footprints and improve energy efficiency.

Her experience within international groups has given her in-depth knowledge of the levers that need to be activated to ensure that major infrastructures such as Cambodia's airports become showcases for the ecological transition.

A meeting to think differently about the future

The programme promises to be a rich one, punctuated by thought-provoking speeches, first-hand accounts and open discussions with the public. The event, designed around a convivial format, includes canapés and drinks.
