The European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (EuroCham Cambodia) successfully held its 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 26. This major event brought together members and national chapters around a positive review and statutory reforms adapted to geopolitical realities.

Heavily attended by ordinary members, the AGM quickly reached the required quorum for debates and votes. This success reflects the sustained commitment of the European business community in Cambodia, lending strong legitimacy to the decisions made.
Revision of Statutes: Farewell to Post-Brexit Privileges for BritCham
At the heart of the discussions was the targeted amendment of EuroCham’s statutes, presented by Executive Director Martin Brisson. Developed by the board of directors in consultation with the British Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (BritCham), this reform incorporates the consequences of Brexit. BritCham thus loses its reserved rights, board nominations, and special privileges. The two organizations nevertheless reaffirm their willingness for constructive cooperation, praising years of fruitful partnership in service of European and British interests.
Prepared in advance and unanimous within the board, the new statutes were approved by a large majority of members.
Growth, Advocacy, and 92% Satisfaction
The 2025 activity and financial reports highlight membership growth, active advocacy, and a net surplus. The member satisfaction survey peaks at 92%, with praise for events, communications, and publications. Time constraints explain the only drawbacks.
The advocacy agenda expands: preparation of a new edition of the White Book, update of the Live Advocacy Compass with a Red Tape Tracker. Concrete results are emerging, such as engagement with the Prime Minister’s office, the CDC, and the GDCE in the express logistics sector: customs clearances in one or two days multiplied by ten, paperwork reduced by 60%.
EuroCham’s new website, enriched with a digital Business Pulse reserved for members, strengthens access to economic intelligence. Coming up: EuroFeast, launch of the White Book, tax forum, not forgetting the commitment of national chapters and the CCIFC for the 2026 Francophonie Summit. The annual audit by Grant Thornton ensures impeccable management.
“The message of this AGM is clear: trust is strong, but expectations are growing. Our members operate in a tougher environment, scrutinizing costs and value. It is up to us to respond with sharper advocacy, targeted services, and measurable impact. EuroCham will rise to the challenge,” declares Martin Brisson, Executive Director.
New Board of Directors and Triumphant Reception
The AGM ratified transitions on the board: departures of Gabriele Faja (President), Liubov Popova (General Secretary), Sylvain Ung (Treasurer), and Cyril Girot (CCIFC Vice-President). The new executive committee, elected post-AGM, is composed as follows:
Executive Committee:
President: Tassilo Brinzer (GBC representative) – Hops Craft Beer Garden & RestaurantVice-President (CCIFC): Arnaud Darc – ThaliasVice-President (GBC): Thomas Hundt – Smart AxiataVice-President (elected members): Julie Kéo – DFDLTreasurer: Cédric Kang – BikayGeneral Secretary: Antoine Fontaine – Anant Law Firm

The Chamber thanks its members and partners, and looks forward with optimism to the year ahead.
