Cambodia & Interview: Tassilo Brinzer, "EuroCham's leadership has never been so Francophone"

The European Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia, EuroCham, is going through a pivotal period in its history. For more than a decade, it has established itself as one of the most influential voices of the private sector in the Kingdom, playing a central role in public-private dialogue with the Royal Government of Cambodia and in promoting a more competitive, transparent and dynamic business environment.

At the helm of this organization, Tassilo Brinzer holds the presidency with a clear vision: to make EuroCham an even more united, inclusive and effective player. This week, we sat down with him at a particularly significant moment. The chamber has just gone through a major reorganization with the departure of BritCham, its British chapter, after fifteen years of partnership. A turning point that raises legitimate questions about EuroCham's identity, strategy and future — but one that, according to Tassilo Brinzer, also opens new prospects for freer and more flexible collaboration between the European and British business communities in Cambodia.

During this conversation, he also reflects on the fundamental role of national chapters within the chamber, and on how EuroCham intends to contribute to the Francophonie Summit, the major international event that Cambodia will host next November.
