In anticipation of the CCIFC Board of Directors elections, discover the profiles of four candidates: Sophorn Chhay (CEO of HR Code, aspiring to the Vice-Presidency), Olivier Deschamps (CEO of Wecare Insurance), Antoine Fontaine (partner at Anant Law Firm, candidate for re-election), and Michel Wong (Marketing & Business Developer at Group Priority).

This first series highlights their exemplary backgrounds, expertise, and motivations to energize the French-Cambodian business community. Online voting will take place from February 23 to 28, 2026.
Sophorn Chhay: CEO of HR Code – Candidate for Vice-Presidency
With over 20 years of experience in the business world and having held key positions, Sophorn Chhay has developed a deep understanding of the complexities and opportunities offered by Cambodia.

As the leader of HR Code, she has worked closely with French, international companies, and local talents to foster economic growth. She wants to put her international expertise and on-the-ground knowledge at the service of the Chamber, to promote French-Cambodian economic cooperation and contribute to a more dynamic and prosperous business environment. Building on the Chamber's achievements, she aims to actively participate in its development and lasting impact in Cambodia.
Olivier Deschamps: CEO of Wecare Insurance
Olivier Deschamps is a senior executive in the international insurance sector, with deep expertise in risk management, corporate governance, and cross-border partnerships in Southeast Asia.

With over 15 years of experience supporting European companies in their strategic expansion in the region, he has gained solid operational knowledge of Cambodia's dynamic economic landscape. Having lived in the Kingdom for six years, he has worked closely with institutional leaders and private sector players, developing a precise understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing French and Francophone businesses.
His expertise covers comprehensive risk assessment, regulatory navigation, and the design of tailored insurance solutions to support sustainable growth in emerging markets. As CEO of an insurance brokerage firm, he has positioned his organization as a trusted partner for companies operating in Southeast Asia, with a particular focus on Cambodia, Laos, and Singapore. His candidacy for the CCIFC Board of Directors reflects his desire to strengthen dialogue between economic players, promote responsible practices, and actively contribute to the influence and prosperity of the French-Cambodian business network.
Antoine Fontaine: Partner at Anant Law Firm – Candidate for Re-election
A member of the Paris Bar, holder of a doctorate in insurance law and a master's in business tax law, Antoine Fontaine is a founding partner of Anant Law Firm.

He heads the Tax, Corporate, Social, Health, and Insurance departments there, and serves as Legal Counsel to the French Embassy in Cambodia. Long established in the Kingdom, he has held numerous governance roles in key French-Cambodian and European economic institutions: President of the CCIFC, Secretary General of EuroCham, Vice-President of CAMFEBA, President of the Cambodia Committee of the CCEF. He currently sits on the Boards of EuroCham and the CCIFC, and acts as senior advisor to CAMFEBA on social protection and international relations issues. His commitment combines legal practice, public policy, and teaching.
Antoine Fontaine has contributed to drafting key legal texts, establishing the National Commercial Arbitration Center, and actively participating in public policy discussions. He also led French cooperation at the Royal University of Law and Economics, where he taught and co-founded the International Tax Studies Center. Running for re-election to the Board of Directors, he wishes to continue his commitment to strengthening the CCIFC's institutional role and providing concrete support to its members. Drawing on his in-depth knowledge of Cambodian ministries and economic players, he intends to continue advocating for French businesses and delivering tangible results for the business community.
Michel Wong: Marketing & Business Developer at Group Priority
Michel Wong is an expert in the flooring industry, with over 12 years of experience in Asia.

Specialized in audits, consulting, and supply chain optimization, he helps companies secure their supplies and improve their performance. With strong knowledge of regional markets and a developed local network, he supports French SMEs in identifying reliable partners, optimizing their sourcing strategies, and controlling their costs.
Eager to join the CCIFC, he wants to actively contribute to animating the business community by organizing technical exchanges on supply chain and product compliance – key issues for growing companies. Bilingual in French and Mandarin, he puts his multicultural expertise at the service of bringing together investors, local partners, and entrepreneurs, with the goal of sustainably strengthening economic synergies in Cambodia.
